We are excited about the launch of our Food Service division “The Finger Food Factory” in the first quarter of 2010. We have continued the innovative tradition of Himalaya International by offering a new line of unique appetizers that you will not find anywhere else. From Tempura Battered Portabella “Fries” to Baby Russet Potato Skins, these products will make your menu stand out from the crowd.

You will find that there is significantly less breading on our button mushrooms, sliced mushrooms, and portabellas than any other product on the market. Our growing beds are adjacent to the breading and freezing facilities, so the mushrooms are picked, processed, and individually quick frozen within four hours. Our products taste fresher than any other product on the market.

Our Blanched and Baked Baby Russet potatoes are cost effective and a labor saving menu item. They work well on a buffet line, and hold on a steam table. Our Baby Russet Potato Skins are a true hand passed hors d’ouerves. They allow a chef maximum creativity and food cost control, being ready to stuff with what best reflects an operations menu, season, or party price point.

A sub division of the Finger Food Factory is our Artisan Fresh Buffalo Mozzarella packed under our “Bufalabella” label. We are the first company in the world to manufacture Fresh Mozzarella di Bufala outside of Italy. By manufacturing it in small batches here in the United States we have lowered the cost and extended the shelf life to twenty seven days. For those of us that have struggled with this superior product, these two issues have always been the biggest hurdles in making it work on a menu.

Our Research and Development department is hard at work coming up with a number of new products from a terrific Crispy Breaded Sweet Baby Corn to a Creamy Breaded Pearl Onion. 2011 promises to be a great year.
